Full Description
Several possible medieval field boundaries are visible as banked linear earthworks to the southeast of Child Okeford on Environment Agency lidar imagery (EA 2018). The features sub-divide historic field plots recorded on the OS Epoch 1 25 inch c1880s map and are considered to be field boundaries of potentially medieval origin, possibly fossilising former strip fields. The features were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
