Please read our .

Summary

Several probable medieval field boundaries are visible as banked and ditched curvilinear earthworks to the south of Child Okeford on 1940s aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery. The features sub-divide historic field plots recorded on the OS Epoch 1 25 inch c1880s map and are considered to be field boundaries of potentially medieval origin, possibly with some later field boundaries/drainage ditches within these. The features were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
