Full Description
A curvilinear near right-angled ditched and banked feature is visible as an earthwork to the south of Child Okeford on 1940s aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery (RAF 1947; EA 2018). The feature encloses the northwest corner of a historic field plot recorded on the OS Epoch 1 25 inch c1880s map and might be a field boundary of potentially medieval origin. The feature was digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
The feature is largely extant on currnet lidar imagery.
