Full Description
Two possible post medieval extractive pits are visible as shallow earthworks to the northeast of Child Okeford on Environment Agency lidar imagery (EA 2018). The bedrock geology here is sandstone and the features are situated close to a group of post medieval sand pits to the southeast. They are considered to be possible sand pits as well and were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
