Full Description
The junction of a number of ancient trackways known as the Dorsetshire Gap is located to the north of Aldermore Copse, Melcombe Horsey. The trackways converge on a natural gap in the steep ridge between Nordon Hill to the east and Nettlecombe Tout to the west. They are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project. (Environment Agency 2023)
