Full Description
A series of parallel linear features are visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery to the east of Nettlecombe Farm, Melcombe Horsey. They are considered likely to be the remains of a medieval strip field system and are associated with a scarped field boundary which may be contemporary with them, or of earlier date. The features cover an area of 2 hectares and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project. (Environment Agency 2021)
