Fragments of a large curvilinear ditched enclosure are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery within the medieval deer park of Melcombe Park, Melcombe Horsey. The feature is considered likely to be a woodland enclosure contemporary with the park and was digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.

Full Description

A sub-oval bank and ditched enclosure is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery at the south west end of Melcombe Park, Melcombe Horsey. The feature is considered likely to be a woodland enclosure contemporary with the medieval deer park and was digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project. (Environment Agency 2021)
