A possible post medieval chalk pit is visible as a 63m long by 21m deep earthwork cut into the south side of Hambledon Hill, Child Okeford, on 1940s aerial photographs Environment Agency lidar imagery (RAF 1943; EA 2018). The feature was digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
