Full Description
A possible post medieval extractive pit is visible as an earthwork on the northwest side of Hod Hill, Stourpaine, on Environment Agency lidar imagery (EA 2018). The feature comprises a long shallow depression cut into the slope within woodland around 131m long by 16m deep. It was digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
