A possible post medieval or early 20th century chalk pit is visible as an earthwork to the east of Lazerton Farm, Stourpaine, on 1940s aerial photographs. The feature is recorded as an earthwork on the OS Epoch a5 map of 1962. It was digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.

Full Description

A possible post medieval or early 20th century chalk pit is visible as an earthwork to the east of Lazerton Farm, Stourpaine, on 1940s aerial photographs (RAF 1947). The feature is recorded as an earthwork on the OS Epoch a5 map of 1962 (OS 1962). It was digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project. The feature is no longer visible on Environment Agency lidar imagery.
