Summary
A probable post medieval chalk pit is visible as an earthwork to the southeast of Okeford Fitzpaine on Environment Agency lidar imagery. The feature forms the last of a row of three with two old chalk pits recorded to the west on the OS Epoch 1 25 inch map (MDO26038) and was digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.

Full Description
A probable post medieval chalk pit is visible as an earthwork to the southeast of Okeford Fitzpaine on Environment Agency lidar imagery (EA 2018). The feature forms the last of a row of three with two old chalk pits (MDO26038) recorded to the west on the OS Epoch 1 25 inch map (OS c1880) and was digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
