A possible post medieval chalk pit is visible as an earthwork to the south of Okeford Fitzpaine on Environment Agency lidar imagery (EA 2018). The feature comprises a 33m by 28m oval depression that straddles a historic trackway. It was digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
