Summary

An area of post medieval drainage, possibly a small area of water meadow, is visible as earthworks to the north of Stourpaine on 1940s aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery. The features are located immediately adjacent to the west side of the deserted medieval village of Lazerton (MDO4793) and might partly overlie that site. They were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.

Full Description

An area of post medieval drainage, possibly a small area of water meadow, is visible as earthworks to the north of Stourpaine on 1940s aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery. The features are located immediately adjacent to the west side of the deserted medieval village of Lazerton (MDO4793) and might partly overlie that site. They were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
