Full Description
An area of post medieval drainage system is visible as earthworks on the north side of Child Okeford on 1940s aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery (RAF 1947; EA 2018). Some of the linear ditches might double function as field boundaries and could potentially include features of earlier, perhaps medieval, origin. The features were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
Not all features remain visible on current lidar imagery.
