Full Description
The fragmentary remains of a medieval field system are visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery on the east facing slopes between Church Hill and West Hill. The system comprises multiple areas of rdge and furrow cultivation, set within a banked field system which is likely to be of prehistoric origin although some of the boundaries may be contemporary with the ridge and furrow. The site was digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.(Environment Agency 2021)
