Full Description
An area of post medieval water channels and/or drainage ditches are visible as earthworks along a section of the River Stour to the north of Shillingstone on 1940s aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery (RAF 1947; RAF 1947; EA 2018). The features appear to continue a water control system associated with a medieval moated site (MDO4676) and were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
