Monument record MDO49621 - Post medieval water channels, drainage system, Shillingstone

An area of post medieval water channels and/or drainage ditches are visible as earthworks along a section of the River Stour to the north of Shillingstone on 1940s aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery. The features appear to continue a water control system associated with a medieval moated site (MDO4676) and were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
