Full Description
A large rectilinear ditched enclosure is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery in the field to the east of Bookham Farm, Buckland Newton. It is 42m by 39m across and situated within the medieval or post medieval drainage/foe;d system described in MDO49597. The feature is considered likely to be of medieval or later date although an earlier date is possible; it was digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project. (Environment Agency 2021)
