Full Description
Areas of ridge and furrow cultivation interspersed by linear banked and ditched field boundaries are visible as earthworks to the east of Okeford Fitzpaine on 1940s aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery (RAF 1947; EA 2018). The features cover an area of around 8 hectares and probably form part of a former medieval field system, possibly an area of former strip fields. They were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
