Summary

Several linear banked features are visible as earthworks within historic fields on the northeast side of Shillingstone on Environment Agency lidar imagery. The features are within an area historic orchards (MDO26155; MDO26156) but might be earlier field boundaries, or possibly the remains of earlier ridge and furrow cultivation, and might be medieval in origin. They were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.

Several linear banked features are visible as earthworks within historic fields on the northeast side of Shillingstone on Environment Agency lidar imagery (EA 2018). The features are within an area historic orchards (MDO26155; MDO26156) but might be earlier field boundaries, or possibly the remains of earlier ridge and furrow cultivation, and might be medieval in origin. They were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
