The field is shown as an orchard on the OS Epoch 1 map and the features might be post medieval cultivation ridges associated with this. The features were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.

An area of cultivation ridges are visible as earthworks on the north side of Child Okeford on 1940s aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery (RAF 1947; EA 2018). The field is shown as an orchard on the OS Epoch 1 map (OS c1880) and the features might be post medieval cultivation ridges associated with this. The features were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
