Classified as a banjo enclosure with associated works, area 2.5 ha. New plan prepared, with comparable examples. <2-3>

'(20) ENCLOSURE (925102), on South Tarrant Hinton Down, probably of Iron Age or Ramano-British date, lies at 270ft. above O.D. on the S. slope of a Chalk spur. Although ploughed flat, the enclosure is seen on air photographs (C.U.A.P., xz 22, 25;58/ RAF/ 3250: 0135-6) as a pear-shaped crop-mark, about 650ft. by 400ft., 5 acres in area.'
