Full Description
A single hollow is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery in the field to the north of Hill Wood, Melcombe Horsey. The feature is considered likely to be the result of post medieval extraction (possibly for chalk); it is associated with a linear bank, possibly an associated spoil heap, and was digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM Project, Environment Agency 2021 (1).
