Summary

A scatter of hollows is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery at the head of the dry valley to the east of Nettlecombe Farm, Melcombe Horsey. The features are considered likely to be the result of post medieval extraction (possibly for chalk) and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM Project.

A scatter of hollows is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery at the head of the dry valley to the east of Nettlecombe Farm, Melcombe Horsey. The features are considered likely to be the result of post medieval extraction (possibly for chalk) and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM Project.
