Summary
An 'Old Chalk Pit' is marked on the Ordnance Survey 1st editon map to the south west of Lyscombe Farm, Cheselbourne. The pit is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and was digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM Project, three additonal pits are situated in the adjacent field to the west.

Full Description
An 'Old Chalk Pit' is marked on the Ordnance Survey 1st editon map to the south west of Lyscombe Farm, Cheselbourne (OS 1888 (1)). The pit is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and was digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM Project, three additonal pits are situated in the adjacent field to the west.
