Summary
A number of hollows are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery scattered across the field to the south east of Thorncombe Farm, Cheselbourne. They are considered likely to be post medieval extraction pits (possibly for chalk) and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM Project.

A number of hollows are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery scattered across the field to the south east of Thorncombe Farm, Cheselbourne. They are considered likely to be post medieval extraction pits (possibly for chalk) and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM Project. (Environment Agency 2021 (1)).
