A line of small hollows is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery cutting into the boundaries of a medieval strip field system within Burnt House Bottom, Alton Pancras. They are considered likely to be post medieval extraction pits (possibly for chalk) and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM Project.

A line of small hollows is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery cutting into the boundaries of a medieval strip field system within Burnt House Bottom, Alton Pancras. They are considered likely to be post medieval extraction pits (possibly for chalk) and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM Project. (Environment Agency 2021 (1)).
