Full Description
A number of hollows are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery scattered across the prehistoric field system to the north of the Romano British settlement on West Hill, Piddletrenthide (MDO1940). They are considered likely to be post medieval extraction pits (possibly for chalk) and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM Project. (Environment Agency 2021 (2)).
