Full Description
A wide scatter of hollows are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery in fields to the south and east of Stickley Coppice, Piddletrenthide. They are considered likely to be post medieval extraction pits (possibly for chalk) and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM Project. One is marked as a chalk pit on the 1st edition map and described separately ion MDO49388. (Environment Agency 2021 (2)).
