Full Description
Banked linear features and areas of possible ridge and furrow cultivation are visible as earthworks on Environment Agency lidar imagery to the north and east of Ranston, Iwerne Courtney or Shroton (EA 2018). The features probably comprise a combination of field boundaries and cultivation remains, possibly associated with the deserted medieval settlement of Ranston (MDO4031). They were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
