Full Description
A number of small hollows are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery scattered along the bottom and lower slopes of the dry valley which runs north east of Piddletrenthide Manor House. They vary from 5m to 30m across and are considered likely to be a post medieval extraction pits (possibly for chalk); they were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM Project. (Environment Agency 2021 (1)).
