Full Description
Fifteen hollows between 15m and 27m across, are scattered across a large modern field in the south east corner of Alton Pancras parish. The features are considered likely to be post medieval extraction pits (possibly for chalk) and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM Project. (Environment Agency 2021 (1)).
