Summary

Banked linear features are visible as earthworks on Environment Agency lidar imagery to the east of Ranston, Iwerne Courtney or Shroton. The features are considered to be field boundaries of probable post medieval date; two of the features correspond with the remains of a historic field boundary that features on the OS 1st Edition map. They were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.

Banked linear features are visible as earthworks on Environment Agency lidar imagery to the east of Ranston, Iwerne Courtney or Shroton (EA 2018). The features are considered to be field boundaries of probable post medieval date; two of the features correspond with the remains of a historic field boundary that features on the OS 1st Edition map. They were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
