Full Description
Banked linear features are visible as earthworks on Environment Agency lidar imagery to the east of Steepleton House, Stepleton Iwerne (EA 2018). The features comprise broad linear banks, probably spread by ploughing, that underlie an area of medieval ridge and furrow and post medieval boundaries and a trackway (see MDO4110; MDO4925). They are considered to be field boundaries of possible later prehistoric date and were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
