Full Description
An oval hollow feature 110m long by 33m wide is visible as an earthwork on Environment Agency lidar imagery to the south of St Mary's Church, Stepleton Iwerne (EA 2018). The feature comprises an oval depression with banked sides. It is considered to be a pond of possible medieval date, perhaps associated with the deserted medieval settlement of Iwerne Stepleton. The feature was digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
