Linear banks and areas of ridge and furrow cultivation are visible as earthworks on Environment Agency lidar imagery to the north, east and west of South Lodge, Stepleton Iwerne. The features are considered to form part of a medieval field system. They were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.

Full Description

Linear banks and areas of ridge and furrow cultivation are visible as earthworks on Environment Agency lidar imagery to the north, east and west of South Lodge, Stepleton Iwerne (EA 2018). The features are considered to form part of a medieval field system formed of rectilinear field boundaries dividing areas of ridge and furrow. They were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
