Full Description
A 'Chalk Pit' is marked on the Ordnance Survey 1st editon map on the western slopes of West Hill, Alton Pancras. (OS 1888 (1)). It is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and was digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM Project. (Environment Agency 2021 (2)).
