'Old Chalk Pits' are marked on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition map on the west facing slope of Nettlecombe Tout, above Folly Farmhouse, Piddletrentide (OS 1888 (1)). They are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM Project. (Environment Agency 2021 (2)).
