An 'Old Flint Pit' is marked on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition map to the north west of Hanover Copse, Piddletrenthide. (OS 1988 (1)). The hollow is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and was digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM Project. (Environment Agency 2021 (2)).
