Full Description
A 'Chalk Pit' is marked on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition map to the north east of All Saints Church, Piddletrenthide. (OS 1888 (1)). It is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and was digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM Project, a second smaller pit is located 150m to the east in the adjacent field. (Environment Agency 2021 (2)).
