An 'Old Chalk Pit' is marked on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition map within Kithill Plantation, Piddletrenthide. (OS 1888 (1)). It is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and was digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM Project; a linear group of additonal hollows are visible to the south on the lidar.
