Full Description
Two 'Old Chalk Pit' s are marked on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition map on the northern slope of Ball hill to the south west of Ball Bottom Copse, Piddletrenthide. (OS 1888 (1)). They are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM Project; they are part of a wider group of hollows in the vicinity.
