Full Description
An 'Old Gravel Pit' is marked on the Ordnance Survey 1st editon map on the north side of West Hill, Alton Pancras (OS 1888 (1)). The pit is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and was digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM Project.; a second pit is situated 80m to the north west of the first.
