Summary

A post hole excavated in 2024 during excavation in advance of quarrying. The post hole [1016] contained a filling of moderately compacted mottled red brown sandy clay containing fragments of wood. Radiocarbon dating of the wood fragments gave a date of c.3770-3648 cal. BC.
