Summary

The hilltop to the south of Nettlecombe Tout may have been more fully enclosed than by the cross dykes described in MDO1688, MDO1689 and MDO1690. A linear secion of bank and ditch is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery running along the southern edge of the hill connecting the two cross dykes MDO1689 and MDO1690. The earthwork is partially marked on the OS 1st edition map as an extant field boundary although it may have earlier prehistoric origins. The feature was digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.

Full Description
