Summary

A bank and ditched curvilinear feature is visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery crossing two fields immediately to the east of Thurnwood House, Buckland Newton. It may form the northeast quadrant of a curvilinear enclosure. The visible arc is 92m long and defined by an inner bank with adjacent external ditch. The feature is of uncertain date and was digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.

A bank and ditched curvilinear feature is visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery crossing two fields immediately to the east of Thurnwood House, Buckland Newton. It may form the northeast quadrant of a curvilinear enclosure. The visible arc is 92m long and defined by an inner bank with adjacent external ditch. The feature is of uncertain date and was digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project. (1)
