Full Description
Fragments of a rectilinear bank and ditched field system are visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery to the south west of Chaston Farm, Buckland Newton. Fragments of at least five field enclosures are visible, the most complete being 50m by 35m across. The features are potentially of prehistoric origin although a later date is possible. They were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project and cover an area of over 4.5 hectares (1).
