Full Description
The remains of a post medieval drainage system are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1947 and lidar imagery to the north and west of Cockroad Copse, Mappowder. The fragmented system of perpendicular ditches covers an area of over 4 hectares; it was digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project and has been partially destroyed by the construction of the Gas Distribution Centre.
