Full Description
The remains of a post medieval drainage system are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1947 (1) immediately to the west of the River Lydden, west of Mappowder Court. The fragmented system of perpendicular ditches covers an area of over 7 hectares. It was digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project and has since been levelled. (2)
