Full Description
An extensive series of parallel banked field boundaries are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery across serveral modern fields to the west of the Gas Distribution Center, Mappowder. The features cover an area of 26ha to the north of Evils Wood Lane. They were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project and considered likely to be the remains of enclosed medieval strip fields. 1)
