‘An earthwork seen during field work ahs the appearance of a round barrow. On the parish boundary between Chettle and Tarrant Gunville.10.0m in diameter and 0.4m high. It lies approx. 200m SE of Chettle long barrow. No visible ditch.
Visible as a faint selling crossed by a fence NW-SE, the earthwork only survives in width 1.0m because it has been destroyed by agricultural activity to NE and SW. A path lies immediately to NE and beyond it a field regularly ploughed. To SW lies an area of sparse hazel coppice being the S edge of Eastbury Park.’
